Acceptable use policy

In consideration for access and/or use of our Site and/or App, you acknowledge and agree that you must not use our Site and/or App:

• In any way that could contravene and/or breach any applicable and prevailing local, national or international law or regulation;
• In any manner that is deceptive, unlawful, or fraudulent or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect;
• For any purpose or activity that harms or disrupts the operation or performance of the Bank’s services, businesses, and/or operations;
• To bully, insult, intimidate or humiliate any person or for the purpose of harming or attempting to harm minors in any way;
• To misrepresent or impersonate a person or attempt to gain access to or illegally track any other person, customer, user, account, data, hardware, software, system or network directly or indirectly related to the Bank’s services;
• To communicate with the Bank’s services, businesses, and/or operations via unofficial platforms and/or communication channels;
• To send, knowingly receive, upload, download, use or re-use any material which does not comply with our Content Standards, as detailed below;
• To publish, post, share, copy, store, back-up, transmit or distribute:
  ▪   any illegal files or data, including infringing, offensive, obscene, threatening, libellous, or otherwise unlawful or tortious material;
  ▪   any terrorist content;
  ▪   any material protected by the intellectual property rights of a third party (unless you have the necessary rights to such material); any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (including spam);
  ▪   any data, send or upload any material that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time-bombs, keystroke loggers, spyware, adware, bots, rootkit, malware or any other harmful programs or similar computer code designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware or operation of the Bank’s services;
  ▪   any confidential information of the Bank or any third party without consent and permission or otherwise in breach of your legal obligations to the Bank or any third party; or
  ▪   any unwanted, unsolicited or harassing messages, promotions, advertising, or solicitations.
• To reproduce, duplicate, copy or re-sell any part of our Site and/or App in contravention of the provisions of our Terms of Use.
• To access without authority, interfere with, damage or disrupt any part of our Site and/or App, any equipment or network on which our Site and/or App is stored, any software used in the provision of our Site and/or App; or any equipment or network or software owned or used by any third party.

You must comply with these content standards that apply to any information and material you contribute to our Site and/or App (“Contribution”). You represent, warrant and undertake that a Contribution must be true, accurate(where it states facts), and complete, genuinely held (where it states opinions) and complies with the laws of the Republic of Singapore and/or such other applicable law which may apply depending on the location from which such Contribution was made.

A Contribution must not:

• Be defamatory of any person;
• Be obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory;
• Promote sexually explicit material;
• Include child sexual abuse material;
• Promote violence;
• Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
• Infringe any copyright, database right or trademark of any other person;
• Be likely to deceive any person;
• Breach any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence;
• Promote any illegal content or activity;
• Be in contempt of court;
• Be threatening, abuse or invade another's privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety;
• Be likely to bully, insult, intimidate, humiliate, harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person;
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person;
• Give the impression that the Contribution emanates from the Bank and/or any other third party, if this is not the case;
• Advocate, promote, incite any party to commit, or assist any unlawful or criminal act such as (by way of example only) copyright infringement or computer misuse;
• Contain a statement which you know or believe, or have reasonable grounds for believing, that members of the public to whom the statement is, or is to be, published are likely to understand as a direct or indirect encouragement or other inducement to the commission, preparation, or instigation of acts of terrorism;
• Contain any advertising or promote any services or web links to other sites.

We have the sole discretion to determine whether there has been a breach of this Acceptable Use Policy through your use of our Site and/or App. When a breach (including threatened breach) or non-compliance of this policy has occurred, we may take such action as we deem appropriate, including but not limited to:

• Immediate, temporary, or permanent suspension or withdrawal of your right to use our Site and/or App;
• Immediate, temporary, or permanent removal of any Contribution uploaded by you to our Site and/or App;
• Issue of a notice or warning to you;
• Legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from such breach or non-compliance;
• Further legal action against you; and/or
• Disclosure of such information to governing authorities and ministries, law enforcement agencies or such other statutory bodies as we reasonably deem fit or necessary or otherwise as required by law.

The terms of this Acceptable Use Policy are governed by the laws of Singapore and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
