Card Rewards terms
These Rewards Terms (“Terms”) set out the terms and conditions that govern the relationship between GXS Bank Pte. Ltd. (the “Bank”, “us”, “we” or “our”) and the customer (“you” or “your”) and the rewards for services and products that we provide to you under these Terms.
Each section below contains specific rewards terms and conditions (each referred to as “Specific Terms”, and collectively referred to as the “Specific Terms”) which will apply to the provision of specific rewards for services and products by the Bank to you.
When the Bank introduces or agrees to provide you with new rewards for services or products, the Bank will inform you of the relevant Specific Terms that apply to the provision of such new rewards for services or products, and you agree that the relevant Specific Terms will apply to the provision of the relevant new rewards for a service or product by the Bank.
A. GXS Debit Card Rewards
This Section A (GXS Debit Card Rewards) sets out the terms and conditions on which the Bank provides you with the GXS Debit Card Rewards (“Debit Card Rewards”). The terms and conditions governing Debit Card Rewards apply to the debit card. Our provision of, and your use of, the Debit Card Rewards subject to the applicable terms and conditions governing debit cards.
1.1 To participate in the Debit Card Rewards, you:
- must have and maintain a debit card issued by the Bank; and
- must meet such other requirements that the Bank may specify from time to time.
1.2 Your participation in the Debit Card Rewards is subject to your savings account and debit card being active and in good standing (in the Bank’s sole determination) at the time of each Eligible Transaction and at the time of each Draw (each as defined below).
1.3 The Bank shall have the sole discretion to determine the savings accounts and debit card accounts eligible to participate in the Debit Card Rewards and shall be entitled to disqualify any debit card account eligible to participate in the Debit Card Rewards without reason, notice or liability to any person.
The table below sets out the meaning of the following capitalised words when used in these Terms.
“Cash Reward”
means a cash credit in Singapore dollars, of such value as shall be determined by us
“Draw” means each draw, conducted instantly and automatically upon and pursuant to an Eligible Transaction, for a Reward which will be determined electronically using the Bank’s methodology.
“Eligible Transaction” means a retail transaction of equal to or more than S$10.00 (or foreign currency equivalent) successfully charged to your debit card, but shall exclude the following transactions to or for:
1. any transaction classified under any of the following Merchant Category Codes (“MCC”):
2. bank, third-party mobile or payment wallets (including wallet top-ups);
3. securities, investment or brokerage platforms;
4. cryptocurrency platforms;
5. remittance services and/or platforms;
6. stored-value card top-ups;
7. gambling and betting service providers;
8. quasi-cash transactions and ATM withdrawals;
9. religious, political, charitable and social service organisations;
10. transactions on the Grab mobile application in Singapore;
11. cancelled, voided, disputed, reversed transactions;
12. any fees and charges imposed by the Bank or card association; and
13. any other categories or transactions which the Bank may exclude from time to time without prior notice or liability to any person.
Please note that the above is not an exhaustive list and is subject to changes from time to time.
A retail transaction charged to your debit card but which has yet to be posted to your debit card account shall not be considered as an Eligible Transaction.
Amounts charged in multiple transactions cannot and will not be combined to make up an Eligible Transaction.
“Reward”
means any reward from a list of rewards for Debit Card Rewards as determined and made available by the Bank from time to time.
3.1 When you perform an Eligible Transaction on your debit card, you are eligible to receive a Reward. Your Reward for the Eligible Transaction will be determined by a Draw. You will receive the Reward for the Draw instantly upon the Eligible Transaction. The Bank shall have the absolute discretion to postpone the awarding of the Reward for a reasonable period in the event of unforeseen circumstance, including any failure or delay in the transmission of any transaction by any party.
3.2 A notification of your Reward will be sent to you by push notification through a notification on the GXS app.
3.3.You are entitled to a maximum of one (1) Draw per Eligible Transaction, to receive a maximum of one (1) Reward.
4.1 Each Reward you receive will be in the form of a Cash Reward. You may view all Rewards you have received in the GXS app.
4.2 Each Cash Reward will be credited directly into your corresponding savings account (in the Main Account or any Saving Pocket(s), as the Bank will determine from time to time in our discretion). The Bank may credit Cash Rewards into your savings account after the maximum balance in your savings account has been reached.
4.3 The Bank is not responsible or liable for any goods or services that you may purchase from an individual, a merchant or other third party provider using your Reward, or the quality of any such goods or services. We are entitled to debit your savings account for the transaction amount, even if you do not receive the goods or services from the individual, merchant or third party provider, or the goods or services are not of satisfactory quality. If you do not receive the goods or services or the goods or services are not of satisfactory quality, you must approach the individual, merchant or other third party provider directly if you wish to seek recourse from them. Any dispute between you and the individual, merchant or other third party provider does not affect in any way your liability to us for the transaction amount, and you agree that we are entitled to debit the transaction amount in full from your savings account.
4.4 Rewards are non-negotiable, non-transferable or non-exchangeable for cash or credit. There shall be no refund or exchange for any unclaimed or unutilised Reward.
4.5 You must not split transactions in order to win more Rewards.
4.6 The Bank reserves the right to replace, exchange, vary or substitute any Reward with an item(s) of equivalent value at its sole discretion without prior notice or reason and without liability to any persons.
5.1 The Debit Card Rewards are available to you for your retail transactions for their personal use only. Should your spending be deemed by the Bank to be of commercial and/or non-personal use, the Bank reserves the right to refuse to award any Rewards. The Bank reserves the right to validate the nature of the transactions through any relevant merchants in arriving at this decision.
5.2 The Bank reserves the right at any time without giving any reason or notice you to claw-back, deduct, withdraw, or cancel any Reward awarded to you for instances of reversals, cancelled, void, disputed transactions or abuse of the Rewards programme, for any other reason whatsoever, and without any compensation or liability to you.
5.3 If the Bank at any time determines at its sole and absolute discretion that any of the requirements of the Debit Card Rewards were not met or complied with, the Bank reserves the right to recover any or all Rewards(s) by deduction from your savings account or any account you maintain with us.
5.4 If your savings account and/or debit card account is closed prior to the crediting of a Reward for any reason, or if an Eligible Transaction is reversed or refunded (in full or in part), the Reward that has yet to be credited will be forfeited notwithstanding that it was accrued under these Debit Card Rewards. Unused or unredeemed Rewards will be automatically cancelled and forfeited upon the closure of your savings account and/or debit card account for any reason.The claimed or unused Rewards shall not be transferable to any other person or card account.
5.5 The Bank’s records and decisions on all matters relating to the Debit Card Rewards (including but not limited to the eligibility of any person to participate in the Debit Card Rewards and the awarding of any Reward) shall be final, conclusive and binding on all customers. We are not obliged to entertain any correspondence.
5.6 The Bank’s decision on all matters relating to the Debit Card Rewards is final and binding on you. We are not obliged to entertain any correspondence.
5.7 The Bank is not responsible or liable for any Loss that you may incur as a result of us acting on any instruction that was not authorised by you or did not come from you, unless such Loss is caused by our gross negligence, wilful misconduct or fraud. “Loss” means any losses, damages, costs (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis), expenses, liabilities, taxes, charges, suits, proceedings, actions, claims, any other demands or remedies of any kind, whatsoever and however caused, whether arising under contract, tort or otherwise, and including any lost profits, earnings, business, goodwill or opportunity, whether or not foreseeable, and whether direct, indirect or consequential.
5.8 The Bank is not responsible for any failure or delay in the transmission of any transaction by any party, including acquiring merchants, merchant establishments or any telecommunication provider.
5.9 The Bank may add to, amend, modify or vary any or all of these Terms (including our fees and charges) at any time. Such addition, amendment, modification or variation will take effect on the date we specify. The Bank will notify you of any such addition, amendment, modification or variation. The Bank may introduce additional terms and conditions governing new features, services and products without giving you any advance notice. Nonetheless, we will use reasonable endeavours to provide you with 30 days' advance notice for any variation relating to our fees and charges and your liabilities or obligations, unless the addition, amendment, modification or variation is clarificatory in nature or required for compliance with Applicable Law (which may take effect immediately).
5.10 The prevailing Deposit Account Terms, Card Account Terms and any other applicable terms and conditions of the Bank (“Account Terms”) shall continue to apply. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and the Account Terms, these Terms shall, to the extent of such inconsistency, prevail in respect of matters relating to the Debit Card Rewards.
5.11 A third party who is not a party to these Terms shall have no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 of Singapore to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any provision of these Terms.
5.12 These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Singapore law, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
5.13 Unless otherwise stated, this Programme is not valid with other offers, discounts, rebates, vouchers, privileges or promotions.

GXS Debit Card Rewards
Cash Reward: A cash credit of up to S$5 credited directly into the Main Account of your corresponding GXS Savings Account
B. GXS FlexiCard Rewards
This Section B (GXS FlexiCard Rewards) sets out the terms and conditions on which the Bank provides you with the GXS FlexiCard Rewards (“FlexiCard Rewards”). The terms and conditions governing the FlexiCard Rewards apply to the FlexiCard. Our provision of, and your use of, the FlexiCard Rewards subject to the applicable terms and conditions governing the FlexiCard.
1.1 To participate in the FlexiCard Rewards, you:
- must have and maintain a FlexiCard issued by the Bank; and
- must meet such other requirements that the Bank may specify from time to time.
1.2 Your participation in the FlexiCard Rewards is subject to your FlexiCard account being active and in good standing (in the Bank’s sole determination) at the time of each Eligible Transaction and at the time of each Draw (each as defined below).
1.3 The Bank shall have the sole discretion to determine the FlexiCard account eligible to participate in the FlexiCard Rewards and shall be entitled to disqualify any FlexiCard account eligible to participate in the FlexiCard Rewards without reason, notice or liability to any person.
The table below sets out the meaning of the following capitalised words when used in these Terms.
“Cash Reward” means a cash credit in Singapore dollars, of such value as shall be determined by us
“Draw” means each draw, conducted instantly and automatically upon and pursuant to an Eligible Transaction, for a Reward which will be determined electronically using the Bank’s methodology.

A retail transaction charged to your FlexiCard but which has yet to be posted to your FlexiCard account shall not be considered as an Eligible Transaction.

“Excess Balance” has the meaning given to it in Clause C13.1 (Overpayment and Excess Balance) in Section C (GXS FlexiCard) of the Card Account Terms.

3.1 When you perform an Eligible Transaction on your FlexiCard, you are eligible to receive a Reward. Your Reward for the Eligible Transaction will be determined by a Draw. You will receive the Reward for the Draw instantly upon the Eligible Transaction. The Bank shall have the absolute discretion to postpone the awarding of the Reward for a reasonable period in the event of unforeseen circumstance, including any failure or delay in the transmission of any transaction by any party.
3.2 A notification of your Reward will be sent to you by push notification through a notification on the GXS app.
3.3.You are entitled to a maximum of one (1) Draw per Eligible Transaction, to receive a maximum of one (1) Reward.
4.1 Each Reward you receive will be in the form of a Cash Reward. You may view all Rewards you have received in the GXS app.
4.2 Each Cash Reward will be credited directly into your FlexiCard account. The Bank reserves the right to not credit and forfeit any Cash Reward to your FlexiCard account if any Excess Balance limit (as may be determined by the Bank in its sole discretion) has been exceeded or if the crediting of any Cash Reward would cause such Excess Balance limit to be exceeded.
4.3 Cash Reward amounts of less than S$0.01 from a single Eligible Transaction will not be credited or accumulated.
4.4 The Bank is not responsible or liable for any goods or services that you may purchase from an individual, a merchant or other third party provider using your Reward, or the quality of any such goods or services. We are entitled to debit your FlexiCard account for the transaction amount, even if you do not receive the goods or services from the individual, merchant or third party provider, or the goods or services are not of satisfactory quality. If you do not receive the goods or services or the goods or services are not of satisfactory quality, you must approach the individual, merchant or other third party provider directly if you wish to seek recourse from them. Any dispute between you and the individual, merchant or other third party provider does not affect in any way your liability to us for the transaction amount, and you agree that we are entitled to debit the transaction amount in full from your FlexiCard account.
